MGM has revealed the next three titles in its James Bond Blu-ray collection, due this March, which will include the classics 'Goldfinger,' 'Moonraker,' and 'The World is Not Enough.'
As reported last month, early word from international distributors had pegged MGM/Fox as prepping more Bond titles for next-gen launch this March. Now US retailers have been alerted that the studio will bow a three-strong Blu-ray wave on March 24 (day-and-date with new standard DVD re-issues).
Spanning three decades of Bond, the six titles include the seminal Sean Connery Bond 'Goldfinger,' Roger Moore in 'Moonraker,' and the Pierce Brosnan starrer 'The World is Not Enough.'
This next wave of 007 releases is also timed to coincide with the home video arrival of the latest big-screen Bond adventure, the blockbuster 'Quantum of Solace.'
At press time, there are no tech or supplement specs available as of yet, but extensive packages comparable to the previously-released Bond titles on Blu-ray are expected.
It is also believed that MGM/Fox will release an additional three, as-yet-unamed Bond titles on Blu-ray on March 24, but we have no further confirmation as of yet. We'll keep you posted.
You'll find the latest specs for 'Goldfinger,' 'Moonraker,' and 'The World is Not Enough,' as well as 'Quantum of Solace,' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where they're indexed under March 24.
