Exclusive free online challenge mode releasing this month.
Ubisoft has charted a difficult course for 'Rayman Legends.' The game debuted at E3 as one of the more intriguing Wii U exclusives. After the game slid to the end of the Wii U launch window, Ubisoft announced that the title would be multiplatform. The team had crunched to complete the game, and expectant fans were upset that the Wii U version was not only no longer exclusive, but was being held back six months until the 360 and PS3 ports were ready.
As the furor over the game grew, Ubisoft promised Wii U owners that to ease the angst over the wait, they would receive a second demo.
Now though, it seems that Ubisoft has acknowledged the sensitive public nature of the title and directed efforts towards appeasing fans. The game is being expanded with thirty more levels across versions. These new levels include new enemies and bosses.
The second Wii U demo, promised for later this month, has been redefined as a free release of the four level online challenge mode and is exclusive tor the Wii U eShop.
