Crazy killers and deadly zombies will terrorize Blu-ray in September.
In an early announcement to retailers, Image Entertainment is preparing 'Halloween Double Feature' and 'Zombie Double Feature' for Blu-ray on September 9. 'Halloween Double Feature' includes 'Mischief Night' and 'All Hallow's Eve.' 'Zombie Double Feature' includes 'Dead Season' and 'State of Emergency.'
'Mischief Night' - Young Emily Walton, who has suffered from psychosomatic blindness ever since the car accident that took her mother's life, must summon every instinct at her disposal to protect herself and her loved ones from a mysterious intruder.
'All Hallow's Eve' - While watching two children on Halloween night, a babysitter finds an old VHS tape in the kids' trick or treat bag. The tape features three tales of terror, all linked together by a murderous clown. As the night goes on strange things begin to occur in the house. It isn't long before the babysitter learns the horrifying truth... the maniacal clown is slowly working his way into her reality.
'Dead Season' - When a worldwide viral outbreak leads to a plague of zombies scouring the earth for the living, two survivors flee the chaos of America to a remote island, hoping for a chance to start a new life. What they find is unrelenting horror. Beyond the hordes of the flesh-hungry undead, the other people already on the island force the pair into a fight-or-die battle amongst themselves. Armed only with crude weapons, they must descend to savagery and cutthroat tactics just to make it through each day.
'State of Emergency' - Chaos consumes a small town when a chemical facility explodes releasing a deadly toxin. Moments after the leak, the town's residents show signs of mutation, causing the military to quarantine the area leaving any survivors helpless and trapped inside. The story follows Jim, a young man isolated within the red zone, as he eludes flesh eating zombies in an attempt to win back his freedom.
Specs and supplements have not been announced yet, but suggested list price for each Blu-ray is $19.98.
