If the PS3 gets access to the Hulu service, it'd be the first game console and the first Blu-ray player to support Hulu.
Now that Netflix is available on pretty much every device you can hook up to your TV, Hulu is the next mountain to climb. No one's got the service yet, but whoever does could have a leg up on the competition for a while.
If Sony could score the coup of Hulu access before Microsoft, it would be a big blow in the ongoing war between the two consoles, but perhaps more importantly, it would help the PS3 hold its position as one of the best Blu-ray players around.
After all, it's hard to find a cheap Blu-ray player that can handle 3D and Netflix streaming, but add Hulu to that and you've got a recipe for a PS3 sales surge.
There's nothing firm yet – everything's still in the rumor stage. But according to some, we might be hearing an announcement as early as next week.
