We've never heard of them either, but the set doesn't look too bad - just a little pricey for the feature set.
Sceptre is a company that boasts multiple innovations and a history of excellent products. We've only got their word to go on though, since the name just doesn't ring a bell. The company may not be the most interesting, but their new Galaxy LED backlit LCD sets seem like they might be worth taking a look at.
The Galaxy series starts out at just 19 inches and goes up to 42. In that size range it's got a depth that varies between 0.9 inches and 1.75 inches. It's got a 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and its Energy Star 4.0 compliant.
It's a sleek looking set, with a glossy black frame and a tempered glass stand. It's visually striking to be sure.
The new Galaxy series starts out at $299 for the 19 inch model and goes on up to $1,299 for the largest – a 42 inch set that Sceptre boasts can double as a monitor. Of course, that's a bit of a problem when Sony's 40 inch Internet TV comes in at just $999.
