Supplements have now been added to the award-winning Norwegian comedy coming to high-definition in January.
As previously reported, Magnolia says 'Happy, Happy' is coming to Blu-ray on January 24.
Filled with “first-rate” performances (Variety), the “fitfully amusing film” (The Village Voice), the feature debut from award-winning* Norwegian filmmaker Anne Sewitsky, 'Happy Happy,' “abounds with joy and sadness” (Film.com) as it follows two couples whose lives are turned upside down.
Agnes Kittelsen ('Max Manus') stars as Kaja, an optimistic young mother with a firm belief happiness is the most important thing in the world. Never allowing anyone to change her merry mindset, Kaja continues to remain cheerful, even while sharing her snowy rural home with a brooding, unappreciative boyfriend. When an urban, erudite couple with an adopted Ethiopian son moves next door, Kaja is thrilled and exhilarated at the prospect of interesting new friends. Yet after a night of bonding, admiration turns to romance and Kaja’s life is permanently changed.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and the only supplements are U.S. and international trailers.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.98.
