The number of upcoming titles headed for HD DVD continues to grow
exponentially, as the format's official promotional website has just unveiled
an extensive slate of titles due over the next several months.
Launched early last week as part of an extensive $150 million dollar
marketing campaign designed to raise consumer awareness of HD DVD,
www.TheLookandSoundofPerfect.com
has added a large number of previously unannounced titles to its official coming soon to HD DVD
movie release list.
Though street dates and features have yet to be announced for the new additions, new titles are listed from
all current HD DVD supporting studios, including Warner
and subsidiary New Line, Universal, Paramount, Weinstein Co. and Magnolia.
Among the numerous catalog releases due to hit HD DVD are such hits as 'The
Mummy,' 'Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas,' 'American Pie,' 'Meet the
Parents,' 'Hulk,' 'The Scorpion King,' 'Waterworld' and the multiple Oscar winners
'The Aviator,' 'Casino,' 'Spartacus,' 'Braveheart' and 'The Deer Hunter.'
More catalog classics and cult hits slate for upcoming release include 'Out
of Sight,' 'Field of Dreams,' 'The Breakfast Club,' 'The Blues Brothers,' 'An
American Werewolf in London,' 'Battlestar Galactica' and 'The Ultimate Star
Trek Collection' box set from Paramount.
Also on the docket for HD DVD are a number of current and upcoming high-profile
theatrical releases, which are expected to debut in the coming months day-and-date
with DVD, including 'Miami Vice,' 'You, Me & Dupree,' 'The Break-Up,' 'The
Black Dahlia,' 'Slither' and the latest in the 'Fast and the Furious' and 'American
Pie' franchises.
