Check out the latest details for several upcoming Blu-ray titles.
New info has been announced for Blu-ray releases from HBO, Well Go USA, Shout Factory, and Kino.
Here's a full rundown of recently revealed details and title announcements:
First up, HBO is set to release Big Little Lies starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Shailene Woodley on August 1. Supplements will include:
- Six "Inside the Episode" pieces
- Exclusive extended "About Big Little Lies" piece featuring never-before-seen cast interviews
- Behind-the-scenes footage
As previously reported, Well Go USA is prepping Railroad Tigers starring Jackie Chan, Jaycee Chan, and Zitao Huang for Blu-ray on June 20. Newly announced Supplements will include:
- Five Featurettes
- Original Trailers
As previously reported, Shout Factory is preparing Ido Fluk's The Ticket starring Dan Stevens, Malin Akerman, and Oliver Platt for Blu-ray on June 6. Newly announced supplements will include:
- Audio Commentary By Writer/Director Ido Fluk And Writer Sharon Mashihi
- Original Theatrical Trailer
In addition, Shout Factory has also announced supplements for the June 20 release of Car Wash starring Richard Pryor, Franklyn Ajaye, and Darrow Iguswill. The disc will include:
- NEW "Car Wash From Start To Finish" With Producer Gary Stromberg
- NEW "Workin' At The Car Wash" With Otis Day
- Audio Commentary With Director Michael Schultz
- Radio Spot
- Original Trailer
Likewise, Shout Factory has revealed release dates for the upcoming Collector's Edition releases of Teen Wolf starring Michael J. Fox and Teen Wolf Too starring Jason Bateman. Both discs will be available on August 8. No other details have been announced yet.
Lastly, the label has announced plans to bring Luigi Cozzi's Hercules and The Adventures of Hercules II starring Lou Ferrigno to Blu-ray on August 22. Not other details have been revealed yet.
Kino is bringing The Sheik and The Son of the Skeik starring Rudolph Valentino to Blu-ray on May 30.
The Sheik will feature:
- Audio Commentary by Gaylyn Studlar, author of This Mad Masquerade: Stardom and Masculinity in the Jazz Age and co-editor of Visions of the East: Orientalism in Film
- Archival footage taken at Valentino's funeral
- Original theatrical trailer of Valentino's Blood and Sand (1922)
The Son of the Sheik will include:
- Filmed introduction by Orson Welles
- "Valentino: His Life and Times," a vintage documentary short
- "Valentino at the Beach" (aka "The Sheik's Physique"), a rare short subject
- Original theatrical trailer of The Young Rajah (1922)
- A sampling of newspaper headlines announcing Valentino's illness and death
In addition, the label has also announced plans to release the 1971 western The Hunting Party starring Oliver Reed, and the 1967 anthology film The Oldest Profession from directors Claude Autant-Lara, Mauro Bolognini, Philippe de Broca, Jean-Luc Godard, Franco Indovina, and Michael Pfleghar. Both titles are set to hit Blu-ray later this year.
