First stimulus payment becomes part of latest push back.
Growing pains for 'Grand Theft Auto Online' continue to fester as major features like online heists seem no closer to release. Rockstar's promised stimulus package, a pair of $250,000 in-game cash payments to all October players as a way to make up for lost characters, broken tutorials, and disproportionate in-game economy exploitation, has yet to reach players.
The reason for the stimulus delay includes everyone's feature dependency, the cloud. Rockstar is still facing concerns of over lost player progress, and Rockstar understandably does not want to release the cash only to have the resulting purchases disappear from players' inventory.
Considering that launch day features such as the user-driven BAWSAG and cash micro-transactions continue to exhibit problems, it's no wonder that Rockstar seems to be vamping with regards to the new, promised content, the Beach Bum Pack, Content Creator, and Heists.
