Cory Barlog will be working on the new 'Tomb Raider' game as well as an unannounced new project.
The folks over at Crystal Dynamics just picked up a new team member that will bring quite a bit of knowledge to their upcoming projects, - Cory Barlog, the director of 'God of War II.' Barlog is going to be working on the upcoming 'Tomb Raider' title in addition to an as-of-yet unannounced game.
"Cory's heritage in building industry defining action adventure titles," says studio head Darrell Gallagher. "Together with our focus on delivering quality character driven blockbuster entertainment makes Cory a tremendously exciting addition to the team."
When the David Jaffe helmed 'God of War' first came out, people were blown away by the fluid fighting and then unique play mechanics and design. Barlog had a lot to live up to with 'God of War II' and he managed to make a sequel that's often argued to be better than the original. He'll certainly be an asset to the folks at Crystal Dynamics.
