Eight games are eligible for the $10 trade up to the Xbox One version.
Recently, GameStop unveiled a program which allows PowerUp members to trade in select Xbox 360 titles for the Xbox One versions for $10, provided that both come from GameStop and meet the timetable restrictions.
Naturally, with the Xbox One still months away, Amazon has plenty of time to completely out offer GameStop. Amazon's offer breaks down into two sub offer amounts, "Until December 31, 2013, trade in a select Xbox 360 game and get a $25 bonus credit toward the same title on Xbox One in addition to your trade-in value of at least $25." That means that an eligible 360 title is worth $50 towards its Xbox One version.
Amazon's Xbox 360 to Xbox One game upgrade program applies to the following eight titles, 'Call of Duty: Ghosts,' 'Madden NFL 25,' 'FIFA 14,' 'Battlefield 4,' 'Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag,' 'NBA 2K14,' 'Watch Dogs,' and 'Need for Speed Rivals.' Not only can customers trade in their Xbox 360 games for Xbox One versions for just a $10 fee, but the Xbox 360 game does not need to have been bought from Amazon.
In fact, outside of the specific list of games, there seems to be only two restrictions. First, the trade-in must occur before the end of the 2013, and second, each eligible title can only be traded up for $10 one time.
In contrast, the GameStop program requires that customers be PowerUp members, have bought the 360 version of the game from GameStop, and have initiated the trade within 30 days of the release of the Xbox One version.
