Fox has unveiled final specs for the October Blu-ray release of 'Young Frankenstein,' which will hit high-def with hours of brand-new exclusive content.
As previously reported, Fox earmarked October 7 for the "Boo-ray" release of the Mel Brooks comedy classic, but hadn't issued any additional specs.
Now the full media release is in, and fans can look forward to hours of newly-produced content exclusive to the Blu-ray. Among the extensive extras is the "Inside The Lab: Secret Formulas in the Making Of Young Frankenstein" Bonus View picture-in-picture track (Profile 1.1 required), the "Franken-Track: A Monstrous Conglomeration of Trivia" BD-Java pop-up graphics track, an isolated score in DTS-MA 5.1 Surround, two featurettes ("It's Alive! Creating A Monster Classic featurette," "Transylvanian Lullaby: The Music of John Morris"), "The Brain Game" interactive BD-Java game, 17 deleted and extended scenes, and the "Blucher Button" interactive feature.
Supplements carried over from previous DVD editions include audio commentary with Brooks, the "Making FrankenSense of Young Frankenstein" featurette, deleted scenes, bloopers, cast interviews, still galleries and theatrical trailers.
Tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
As previously announced, suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.
You'll find final specs for 'Young Frankenstein' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under October 7.
