Confirming earlier retailer reports, Fox has unveiled full specs for the September Blu-ray release of 'Daredevil,' which will come to high-def in a Director's Cut version with hours of bonus features.
As previously reported, the studio made an early alert to retailers last month for a September 30 Blu-ray release of the Ben Affleck starrer, but stopped short of issuing a media announcement or revealing additional specs.
Now the press details are in, with 'Daredevil' set to hit Blu-ray in its Director's Cut form with over 30 minutes of additional footage. Spread across a BD-50 dual-layer disc, tech specs include 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
Extras match the previous DVD releases with extensive bonus features. Included are two filmmaker audio commentaries, an additional text commentary, the documentary: "Beyond Hell's Kitchen: Making Daredevil," three additional featurettes ("The Comic Book," "Men Without Fear: Creating Daredevil," "Shadow World Tour"), alternate scenes, three music videos, still and storyboard galleries, and theatrical trailers.
As previously announced, Fox has set the suggested retail price of $39.98 for the Blu-ray.
You'll find complete specs for 'Daredevil' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under September 30.
