The rollercoaster journey of 'From Hell' to Blu-ray continues, with Fox Home Entertainment dropping title for the second time from its next-gen release schedule.
Originally announced for a December 5 release on Blu-ray, the $50 million-grossing Johnny Depp cult hit was unceremoniously dropped by the studio from its next-gen schedule only days before its release.
It then magically re-appeared under the "Coming Soon" banner on Fox's official Blu-ray promo site, www.foxbd.com, along with various online retailers, with March 13 street date
Now, we've received word from the studio that it's been delayed indefinitely once again. No reason has been given for the numerous postponements, but Fox has confirmed it will be released at a later date.
The title is scheduled to include a 1080p transfer and DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 track, plus multiple extras, including a BD-Java-enhanced subtitle trivia track.
We'll keep you posted on further news on the title, and we hope a new (and final) street date is announced soon.
Current specs for 'From Hell' can be found in our complete Blu-ray Release Schedule, albeit now listed under the "Release Dates Postponed" section.
