"The apocalypse has had an apocalypse" in this standalone days of retro past shooter.
After days of teasers and a troublesome uPlay leak, Ubisoft has finally come clean with details on the upcoming standalone downloadable title 'Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.'
On the one hand, the FPS and its trailer are peppered in an action/scifi style immediately reminiscent of the 1980s, and that is before taking into account Michael Biehn's involvement. On the other hand, the game's cheesy trappings seem world's away from the current trend of serious shooters. The story is free of any connection to 'Far Cry 3' and instead stars the Biehn-voiced, Sgt. Rex 'Power' Colt, a cyber commando, sent to dispatch a rogue cyber army.
Eurogamer has a ten minute preview, which touches on mission types, weapon selection, and cyber dragons.
'Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon' is scheduled for a May 1st release date for the 360, PS3, and PC.
