The game, according to Ubisoft, needs more time before it meets quality standards.
There's an interesting trend developing in gaming, and that trend is delaying games. It's not that release dates haven't been moved around in the past, but this year seems to set a new high. Games have been shuffled around like crazy, with many moving from the November release window that's expected to be dominated by 'Black Ops 2.'
Ubisoft says that 'Far Cry 3' doesn't fit in this category, and was simply delayed so there could be more work done to bring the game up to snuff. "Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players," says producer Dan Hay.
The release date of the game has been moved from September to December 4th.
