The new projector offers affordable entertainment for families.
Epson has detailed its latest projector. The Home Cinema 740HD is a 720p home theater projector with an affordable price point.
"With features including portability, built-in sound, flexible setup and placement and high brightness, the Home Cinema 740HD is the ideal projector for families to bring the big-screen experience to the comfort of their home," said Jason Palmer, marketing manager, Epson America. "In addition, its high color brightness, deep contrast levels, HD 720p resolution, and versatile HDMI connectivity allows users to project their favorite TV shows, movies or videogames from a range of devices for the ultimate viewing experience."
The projector features a resolution of 1280 x 800 and uses 3LCD, 3-chip technology to offer up to a 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and 3,000 lumens of color brightness and white brightness. In addition, the device includes an integrated speaker and HDMI connectivity. Likewise, the Home Cinema 740HD offers simple setup and installation with a 1.2x optical zoom and automatic vertical keystone correction. Finally, the projector also features a special split screen mode to project two different images of videos or stills side-by-side.
Epson's Home Cinema 740HD ($649) will start shipping in September.
