Xbox Entertainment Studios original documentary series starting off with the search for the Extra-Terrestrial landfill.
Remember Xbox Entertainment Studios? The original programming division seems to still be getting started and has announced an original documentary series for 2014.
Producer Simon Chinn, "Our collaboration with Xbox offers an unparalleled opportunity to make a unique series of films around the extraordinary events and characters that have given rise to the digital age."
Xbox Entertainment Studios President Nancy Tellem, "These stories will expose how the digital revolution created a global democracy of information, entertainment and commerce, and how it impacts our lives every day."
The first documentary will "explore the fabled Atari mystery," in the form of covering the Atari landfill dig. That's right, the search for 'E.T.,' specifically the buried unsold game copies, will be televised through the Xbox platform.
Through a series of partnerships, Xbox will have the exclusive rights to cover the dig and the resulting documentary should be available for Xbox Live members in 2014.
