Game painted as a 2D free-to-play strategy RPG.
'Dragon's Dogma' has spent more than a year building a cultish fan base, who have been thrilled with the game's massive amount of quest and pawn characters. While a full-scale sequel is expected, rumors from the latest Famitsu suggest that the next turn for the RPG franchise is a PS Vita off-shoot.
Once again the player will command a party of customizable pawn characters, but instead of the 3D third person action perspective, 'Dragon's Dogma Quest' will be a 2D affair. Players can play cooperatively online, or with pawns. A big part of the game will be the 150 jobs available.
As a free-to-play title, micro-transactions are expected, but whether they will involve more pawns, jobs, gear, quests, or stats remains to be made clear. In fact, it's possible that the title will only be made available in Japan, a possibility that would seem to ignore the franchise's worldwide following.
