Celebrate 50 years of 'Doctor Who' in 3D this December!
In an early announcement to retailers, BBC is preparing to release 'Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor - 50th Anniversary Special - 3D' on Blu-ray on December 10 -- two weeks after its broadcast on November 23 in the U.S. and UK.
The world's longest-running sci-fi series is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with an explosive special, The Day of the Doctor. The special stars Matt Smith, David Tennant, and Jenna Coleman, with Billie Piper and Academy Award nominee John Hurt. It promises to be an adventure for the ages and a celebration of Doctor Who unlike any other!
Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but the Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo pack will include "Doctor Who Explained," a 50-minute documentary spanning the entire 50-year history of the show.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.98.
