There's no date yet, but a new trailer for Disney's 'High School Musical 2' confirms that a Blu-ray version of the teen sensation is on the way.
The sequel to the unstoppable (some might say inexplicable) phenomenon 'High School Musical' -- a cross-format blockbuster that broke ratings records for a Disney Channel premiere movie and spawned a chart-topping soundtrack CD -- is currently scheduled to have its broadcast premiere on August 17.
Though Disney has not yet set a date for a subsequent home video debut, they have released a new teaser trailer for an 'Extended Edition' that touts an eventual bow on both standard-def DVD and Blu-ray.
As you might expect at this early date, there are no tech specs nor supplements available yet, although the trailer does tout the extended edition's "all-new movie experience," as well as a new Sing-Along Version."
