A slippery lawyer, a lovable canine, a few gangsters, and more are all making their way toward Blu-ray.
New info has been revealed for several upcoming Blu-ray releases from FilmRise, Sony, Universal, Kino, Well Go USA, Cohen Media Group, Mill Creek Entertainment, Olive Films, Cinedigm, MVD Visual, and ClassicFlix.
Here's a full rundown of recently revealed details and title announcements:
First up, FilmRise has announced plans to release Michelle Kath Sinclair's documentary Chicago: The Terry Kath Experience (Special Edition) on December 12. Supplements will feature raw and uncut bonus material with behind-the-scenes moments on Michelle’s journey as well as clips that did not make the final cut, including:
- Michelle's backstage concert meet up with Chicago
- A candid look at the interview with Michelle and her mother Camelia
- An exclusive look at the Chicago members as they share stories about living with Terry Kath
- Bonus footage from Michelle and Camelia’s visit to Caribou Ranch
- A special compilation of Terry Kath's 8mm home footage with commentary
Olive Films is set to bring Carroll Ballard's Nutcracker: The Motion Picture starring Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Sharp, Patricia Barker to Blu-ray on December 12. Supplements have not been announced.
Kino is preparing Yuri Ancarani's documentary The Challenge for Blu-ray on January 2. No other details have been announced at this time.
In addition, the label is also set to bring King Vidor's Ruby Gentry starring Jennifer Jones, Charlton Heston, Karl Malden, Tom Tully, and James Anderson to Blu-ray. An exact release date and supplements have not been announced yet.
Well Go USA is prepping Chris Baugh's Bad Day for the Cut starring Nigel O'Neill, Susan Lynch, and Józef Pawlowski for Blu-ray on January 9. Supplements will include a trailer.
Sony is bringing Peter Landesman's Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House starring Liam Neeson, Diane Lane, Marton Csokas, Ike Barinholtz, and Tony Goldwyn to Blu-ray on January 9. Supplements will include:
- Deleted & Extended Scenes
- "The Secrets of Making Mark Felt" Featurette
- Audio Commentary with Director Peter Landesman
In addition, the studio is prepping Better Call Saul: Season Three starring Bob Odenkirk, Michael Mando, Michael McKean, and Rhea Seehorn for Blu-ray on January 16. Supplements will include:
- Individual Cast and Crew Audio Commentaries for each episode of the show
- Game of Omaha
- Gag Reel
- In Conversation: Bob, Jonathan and Rhea
- Los Pollos Hermanos - Training Videos
- It's a Bad, Bad World - Featurette
- Signs of Saul - Featurette
- Deleted and Extended Scenes
Likewise, Sony will also bring Gilles Paquet-Brenner's Crooked House starring Max Irons, Stefanie Martini, Glenn Close, Honor Kneafsey, and Christina Hendricks to Blu-ray on January 16 as well. Supplements will include:
- "Agatha Christie: A Timeless Fascination"
- "Whodunnit? - The Characters of Crooked House"
- "Elegance & Innovation: The Design of Crooked House"
Meanwhile, Simon West's Stratton starring Dominic Cooper, Austin Stowell, Gemma Chan, Tom Felton, and Derek Jacobi will arrive on February 6. Supplements will include a Featurette.
Cinedigm is set to release Timothy Woodward Jr.'s Gangster Land starring Milo Gibson, Sean Faris, Jason Patric, Peter Facinelli, and Jamie-Lynn Sigler on January 16. Supplements have not been announced at this time.
Cohen Media Group is prepping Marina Willer's documentary Red Trees for Blu-ray on January 23. Supplements will include:
- Interview with Director Marina Willer
- Original Trailer
In addition, the label has announced plans to bring Jacques Rivette's La Belle Noiseuse starring Michel Piccoli, Jane Birkin, and Emmanuelle Béart to Blu-ray. An exact release date and supplements have not been revealed yet, but the disc will feature a new 4K restoration.
Likewise, James Ivory's Shakespeare Wallah starring Felicity Kendal, Geoffrey Kendal, Shashi Kapoor, Madhur Jaffrey, and Laura Liddell is also in the works for Blu-ray. An exact release date and supplements have not been revealed yet, but the disc will feature a new 2K restoration.
Mill Creek Entertainment will release Joe Camp's Benji starring Peter Breck, Deborah Walley and Patsy Garrett on February 6. The disc will feature a new 35mm film restoration and transfer. Supplements will include:
- Commentary by creator Joe Camp and son Brandon Camp
Universal has announced plans to release David Solomon's Midnight, Texas: Season One starring François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis, Peter Mensah, and Sarah Ramos on February 20. Supplements will include:
- Deleted Scenes
- Gag Reel
MVD Visual is prepping Vincent Monton's Windrider: Special Edition starring Nicole Kidman, Tom Burlinson, and Jill Perryman for Blu-ray on March 27. The disc will feature a new high-definition remaster, and supplements will include:
- Audio Commentary with Director Vince Monton and Writer Everett De Roche
- Music Promo featuring Nicole Kidman (1:06, SD)
- ''Young Days'' Music Promo (1:36, SD)
- Extended Bedroom Scene (:38, SD)
- Windsurfing Promo (2:44, SD)

Finally, ClassicFlix has announced plans to release Henry S. Kesler's 5 Steps to Danger starring Ruth Roman, Sterling Hayden, Werner Klemperer, Jeanne Cooper, Peter Hansen, and Richard Gaines on Blu-ray. An exact release date and supplements have not been detailed yet, but the disc is expected to arrive in early 2018 and will feature a new 4K restoration.
