A Spielberg classic and a Spike Lee Joint will be getting the digibook treatment in the new year!
Warner Brothers has slated 'The Color Purple' and 'Malcolm X' for Blu-ray release on January 25.
'Malcolm X' was nominated for two Academy Awards including Best Costume Design and Best Actor in a Leading Role for Denzel Washington, while 'The Color Purple' received a total of 11 Oscar nominations including Best Actress in a Leading Role (Whoopi Goldberg, Margaret Avery, and Oprah Winfrey) and Best Picture.
Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but the expected suggested list price for each Blu-ray is $34.99.
