The third and final chapter in Michael Bay's "explosion, gratuitous butt-shot, explosion, explosion, explosion..." trilogy is only getting a barebones Blu-ray release this month.
In an early announcement to retailers, Paramount has revealed 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' for a Blu-ray release on September 30.
Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky to aid the Autobots who learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and to learn its secrets.
The Blu-ray will include 1080p video, a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 soundtrack, and there won't be any supplements on this release. However, apparently a deluxe Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray edition is planned for the coming months that will contain "loads of bonus features" for fans of the film.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is still undetermined at this time.
