Artwork is now available for the two fully restored editions of Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 epic that's parting the high-definition seas this March.
As previously reported, Paramount Home Entertainment says 'The Ten Commandments' is coming to Blu-ray on March 29.
DeMille’s last motion picture made Charlton Heston a superstar and remains a cinematic triumph and perennial fan-favorite. Filmed in Egypt and the Sinai with one of the biggest sets ever constructed for a motion picture, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS tells the story of the life of Moses (Heston). Once favored in the Pharaoh's (Yul Brynner) household, Moses turned his back on a privileged life to lead his people to freedom. With a rare on-screen introduction by Cecil B. DeMille, this unforgettable movie experience is sure to be enjoyed and treasured by the entire family for years to come.
The Blu-rays will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Commentary by Katherine Orrison, author of Written in Stone: Making Cecil B. DeMille's Epic, The Ten Commandments; Newsreel: The Ten Commandments - Premiere in New York (in HD); and Theatrical Trailers (in HD).
'The Ten Commandments (Gift Set)' will come in a box with two tablets, a photo and archive booklet, and will add the 1923 feature film with commentary by Katherine Orrison, Hand-tinted Footage of the Exodus and Parting of the Red Seas Sequence (1923 feature), The Ten Commandments: Making Miracles - 75-minute documentary, and Photo Galleries (1923 and 1956).
Suggested list price for the 2-disc Blu-ray is $24.99 and the 6-disc Collector's Set is $59.99.
