The riveting documentary about the controversial practice of keeping killer whales in captivity will make a splash on Blu-ray in November.
In an early announcement to retailers, Magnolia will be bringing 'Blackfish' to Blu-ray on November 12.
Killer whales are beloved as majestic, friendly giants yet infamous for their capacity to kill viciously. 'Blackfish' unravels the complexities of this dichotomy, employing the story of the notorious performing whale Tilikum, who—unlike any orca in the wild—has taken the lives of several people while in captivity. 'Blackfish' expands on the discussion of keeping such intelligent creatures in captivity.
Specs have yet to be revealed, but supplements will include: Extended Interviews; AXS TV: A Look at Blackfish; and the Theatrical Trailer.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.98.
