The winner of seven Oscars planned for a Blu-ray bow in January has now been fully detailed!
As previously reported, 20th Century Fox/MGM has revealed 'Dances with Wolves: 20th Anniversary Edition' starring Kevin Costner is finally coming to Blu-ray on January 11.
The film's high-definition release was originally planned way back in March of 2007 but was then mysteriously shelved without a peep until now.
The Blu-ray will feature the extended cut (with 50 minutes of extra footage) in 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Audio commentary with Kevin Costner and producer Jim Wilson; Audio commentary with Director of photography Dean Semler and editor Neil Travis; The Creation of an Epic: retrospective documentary; Original making-of featurette; Original music video; Dances photo montage with introduction by Ben Glass; Poster gallery; TV spots; a new featurette - A Day in the Life on the Frontier; and a pair of interactive supplements: Military Rank and Social Hierarchy Guide, and Real History or Movie Make Believe.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.99.
