Two classic, award-winning films coming to Blu-ray next week have been fully detailed!
As previously reported, MGM/UA has announced 'Moonstruck' starring Nicolas Cage and Cher is coming to Blu-ray on February 15.
Norman Jewison's 1987 romantic comedy was nominated for six Oscars and won three - Best Actress (Cher), Best Supporting Actress (Olympia Dukakis), and Best Writing/Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen (John Patrick Shanley).
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements include: Audio Commentary by Cher, Director Norman Jewison, and Writer John Patrick Shanley, “Moonstruck: At the Heart of an Italian Family”, “Pastas to Pastries: The Art of Fine Italian Food” Featurettes, “Music of Moonstruck”, and Original Theatrical Trailer.
On the same date, the studio will also release 'Rain Man' starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman.
The 1988 drama directed by Barry Levinson was nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning Best Actor (Dustin Hoffman), Best Director (Levinson), Best Picture, and Best Writing/Original Screenplay (Ronald Bass and Barry Morrow).
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Audio Commentary by Director Barry Levinson, Audio Commentary by Writer Barry Morrow, Audio Commentary by Writer Ronald Bass, “The Journey of Rain Man” – A Retrospective Documentary, “Lifting the Fog: A Look at the Mysteries of Autism”, Deleted Scenes, and Original Theatrical Trailer.
Suggested list price for each Blu-ray is $19.99.
