The 2004 Academy Award winner for Best Animated Feature finally comes to Blu-ray/Blu-ray 3D in December!
According to a recent Twitter post from the family film's co-director Lee Unkrich, Pixar's 'Finding Nemo' will swim to Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D on December 4.
The animated adventure about a lost clownfish trying to find his way back home features the voice talents of Willem Dafoe, Geoffrey Rush, Ellen DeGeneres, Allison Janney, Vicki Lewis, Albert Brooks, Brad Garrett, and Stephen Root, and also received Oscar nominations for Best Sound Editing and Best Writing/Original Screenplay.
“‘Finding Nemo’ was originally shot in 3D,” said John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios and the film’s executive producer. “At last, with today’s technological advances, this spectacular underwater world can be seen as it was intended—showcasing its eye-popping detail and breathtaking colors to both theatrical and in-home audiences and creating a truly immersive experience.”
Specs and supplements have yet to be revealed, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray combo pack is $39.99 and the Blu-ray 3D combo pack is $49.99..
