Paramount has revealed a new marketing strategy for the upcoming release of the Wayans brothers' comedy 'Dance Flick.'
On September 8, the film will be released on Blu-ray in both its unrated and PG-13 form, and while it will also be released on DVD the same day, the DVD will just contain the PG-13 version and will only be available on the rental market.
An unrated/rated DVD will be available in stores 4 to 8 weeks after the Blu-ray and rental exclusive hit the market in hopes of generating extra revenue for the studio.
Specs haven't been revealed yet, but supplements will include deleted scenes, alternate ending, and outtakes.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set $39.99.
