Steve Carell is headed back to high-def this March, when Disney brings the hit comedy 'Dan in Real Life' to Blu-ray.
Starring Carell as a put-upon widower who falls for his brother's beautiful girlfriend (Juliette Binoche), the sentimental comedy drew a mixed critical reaction but earned nearly $50 million at the domestic box office this fall. Disney will bring the Peter Hedges-directed domestic comedy to Blu-ray disc on March 11, 2008, day-and-date with the standard-def DVD.
Supplements to be shared between both versions include audio commentary by Hedges; the "Just Like Family: The Making Of Dan In Real Life" and "Handmade Music: Creating The Score" featurettes, deleted scenes and a "Real Life" outtakes reel. As yet, there are no announced high-def exclusives.
Tech specs for the Blu-ray boast 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and uncompressed PCM 5.1 Surround audio (at 48kHz/24-bit).
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray will be $34.95
