Asian powerhouse Celestial Pictures has announced their debut Blu-ray title 'Behind the Yellow Line' for release in early April.
One of the leading suppliers of Asian cinema on DVD, the 1984 "new wave" romantic comedy 'Behind the Yellow Line' will kick off the company's Blu-ray support on April 1.
Celestial also says they have recently remastered much of their extensive library of acquired titles for future high-def release (including numerous films from acclaimed filmmaking team the Shaw Brothers), with release dates forthcoming.
"We are planning to release more classics in the Blu-ray format to deliver the most advanced viewing experience to consumers as demand for high-definition content rises," Terry Mak, Executive Vice President, Distribution & TV Networks of Celestial Pictures, told Asian Variety.
Extras on the Blu-ray version of 'Behind the Yellow Line' will mirror the previously-released DVD edition, including making-of footage, still galleries, and the original theatrical trailer.
There were no tech specs as of press time, but we'll keep you posted.
Retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $29.95.
