One of the leading distributors of cult and horror titles on DVD, Blue Underground has announced that they will begin releasing titles on Blu-ray in 2008.
Although they offered no word on their first titles or initial street dates, Blue Underground has confirmed via their official website that they plan to support the format with a number of Blu-ray releases in the works.
First established in the mid-'90s, Blue Underground has amassed a considerable library of acquired titles over the years, including some of the most sought-after gems from legendary genre filmmakers Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Larry Cohen, and George A. Romero, as well as hundreds of "grindhouse" classics long thought lost in the video age.
Watch this space for updates on Blue Underground's first Blu-ray announcements as soon as they come to us. Stay tuned!
