Fomer handheld title getting a facelift.
Today, Warner Brothers announced 'Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition, an upgraded console version of the PS Vita and 3DS title, 'Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate.'
This new version is coming as a downloadable title to the 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC, and Warner Brothers describes the new console version as delivering "the same dynamic story and gameplay, now in high-definition." The game will also get a new map and hint system along with a 5.1 surround mix.
From the High-Def Digest Review of the Vita version:
""The pitch for 'Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate' was just as tantalizing (if not more so) as a full-scale console title, but the final execution of the game has left me feeling slightly empty and very much wanting more. Armature Studio has delivered a game that exudes a decent, playable quality, but is well short of the definitive, must-play, hand-held 'Arkham' title."
