The game will be a co-op shooter for the Xbox 360, PC and possibly the PS3.
It's been over 13 years since the release of the cult hit 'Boondock Saints' hit theaters and though there's already been a sequel, there's one thing that's been missing this whole time - a videogame. Wait, what?
Now before you start getting concerned that this is simply a cash-in to make some more money off of the 'Boondock Saints' name, let's look at the talent behind the game. Critical Mass Interactive is handling development, the people who brought you... some of the art in 'Epic Mickey' and programming in 'Rift.' Not exactly a sparkling resume.
The CEO of this young and untested development group, Matt Scibilia, says that the game is going to be a full-on shooter for the Xbox 360 and PC. A PS3 version is possible as well, but not yet confirmed.
"We don't want to do a crap-ass franchise game," says Scibilia. "We're staying true to the content." And what content is that, you ask? "The banter, the relationships between Rocco and the brothers, the Catholicism, that will all be featured in the game." QTE Hail Marys here we come!
