50 Hz update tonight with Blu-ray Player app update still to come.
Tonight, Microsoft will roll-out an array of incremental, but nevertheless welcome Xbox One updates, not the least of which for some will be support of 50Hz video content. That means that the Xbox One just needs the promised "in the coming days" Blu-ray Player app update to become a much better Blu-ray player.
That's not all though, the Xbox One will also now have notifications for when friends and favorites sign into Xbox Live and will feature a indication on the friends list for players who are currently playing in multiplayer.
The GameDVR is being updated with an emphasis on better quality video. Likewise, both Kinect controls and the headset adapter are receiving quality related updates. The Xbox One will even be better about returning to standby after receiving updates in Instant On mode.
The best thing about this group of updates is their relation to the overall Xbox One experience and fan feedback, and they are not simply focused on 'Titanfall.' Microsoft has promised to continue to regularly issue updates along these lines.
