"Akamoto arrives in the Land of the Dead, On Your Phone."
'Skulls of the Shogun,' the excellent 'Advance Wars' like strategy game that been features on Xbox Live, Windows 8, Windows Phone and on Steam, has now been released on iOS for both the iPhone and iPad. If past versions are any indication, the iOS version will be perfectly enjoyable with touch controls.
The Steam version, 'Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition' includes extra content, like the post-campaign volcano island, and it is this version that has been ported to iOS. As great as it is to have such a fun and addictive mix of light strategy charming skulls on iOS, what's equally exciting is that with the Skulls Anywhere, the iOS version is cross-compatible with the Steam version.
From developer 17-Bit, "We are also giddy to announce cross-platform support with the Steam version (sold separately). Create a new Skulls account, or login with your existing Steam Skulls account – your Skulls Anywhere games and cloud-based campaign saves can move from platform to platform (and back) without a hitch. With this addition, the collective multiplayer arena’s gotten bigger than ever before, as iOS and Steam clients clash online! You will also find no in-app purchases – Skulls of the Shogun for iOS is a complete experience."
'Skulls of the Shogun' is available for a mere $5 from iTunes. The Steam version is on sale at Amazon for $5 as well.
