When you add that to its $826.9 million oversea total, the dino sequel now sits with $1.38 billion, passing ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and currently residing in as the fifth highest-grossing movie of all time. If it can make another $127 million, it will pass ‘Furious 7’ and land in the #4 spot. If it can make another $134 million, it will pass ‘The Avengers’ and rank #3 of all time.

‘Inside Out‘ closed the weekend just behind ‘Jurassic’, but could very easily top it when the weekend actuals are announced later today. The third week of its run yielded another $30.1 million that raised its domestic total up to $246.1 million. As its international roll-out continues, the Pixar picture now sits with a worldwide total of $363.4 million.

While the ‘Jurassic’ franchise is thriving four-movies in, the ‘Terminator’ franchise is having a hard time finding its audience. ‘Terminator Genisys‘ opened to only $28.7 million. Thanks to a Wednesday start, it sits with a five-day total of $44.1 million. The $155 million movie is going to need to hold over very well in order to be profitable domestically. Luckily for the series’ new distributor Paramount, overseas audiences were more eager to see Arnold Schwarzenegger back in action. The film’s foreign draw pulled in $85.5 million, giving it a worldwide total to-date of $129.6 million. As of now, two more sequels are still planned for the next two summers. Whether that will actually happen is dependent on how ‘Genisys’ finishes.

While the numbers for ‘Terminator’ may appear low, they’re nothing compared to ‘Magic Mike XXL‘. While the first ‘Magic Mike’ opened to $39.1 million, the sequel was only able to reel in a fraction of that. From 3,355 screens, the male stripper flick grossed $11.6 million, or a measly $3,458 per-screen. The upside for Warner Bros. is that ‘XXL’ is said to have been made for just $15 million. Once the international release really gets rolling, ‘Mike’ shouldn’t have any trouble becoming profitable.

Rounding out the Top 5 was Seth MacFarlane’s comedy sequel ‘Ted 2‘, which is also having a hard time finding its ground. The second week suffered a brutal 67% drop-off in attendance. The $11 million brought its ten-day total up to $58.3 million. Combined with $36 million earned overseas, ‘Ted 2’ has earned a worldwide total of $94.3 million.

The Christian flick ‘Faith of our Fathers‘ had a very rough start. Kicking off on 344 screens, the faith-based movie earned just $433,000 a painfully low $1,259 per-screen average.

‘Amy‘, on the other hand, had a fantastic six-screen debut. Distributed by A24, the documentary opened to $222,000. With a stellar per-screen average of $37,000, its release is likely to expand in the very near future.

Top 10:

1. ‘Jurassic World’ (Universal) – $30,900,000

2. ‘Inside Out’ (Buena Vista) – $30,105,000

3. ‘Terminator: Genisys’ (Paramount) – $28,700,000

4. ‘Magic Mike XXL’ (Warner Bros.) – $11,600,000

5. ‘Ted 2’ (Universal) – $11,000,000

6. ‘Max’ (Warner Bros.) – $6,610,000

7. ‘Spy’ (Fox) – $5,500,000

8. ‘San Andreas’ (Warner Bros.) – $3,030,000

9. ‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’ (Fox Searchlight) – $1,320,000

10. ‘Dope’ (Open Road) – $1,098,000

For the fourth consecutive week, ‘Jurassic World’ held off the competition and retained the top spot at the box office.
