Aww, how cute. Some kids designed movie poster art with paper cut-outs and craft supplies\u2026 Wait, hold on a second. You’re telling me these aren’t<\/em> the work of children? These are actual Blu-ray cases designed by a studio marketing department and sold at retail? Oh, holy hell\u2026
\n<\/p>\n

As spotted by poster Krawk in our site forum<\/a>, the following Blu-ray reissues of MGM titles popped up at Walmart on May 20th featuring a bizarre and mostly inappropiate theme. All of the case art looks like it was either designed by grade-schoolers or drawn for the purpose of illustrating a children’s storybook. This is particularly jarring given that many of the discs are for R-rated movies with violent, scary or sexual content. <\/p>\n

The only of these that I think look sort-of OK are ‘It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World’, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, ‘West Side Story’ and maybe ‘Spaceballs’. The rest\u2026? Oh my dear lord, what was the studio thinking?<\/p>\n
