All but one of the nominated actresses already have Oscar statuettes on their mantles. Is this Amy Adams&#8217; year, or is she destined to perpetually be a bridesmaid at the Academy Awards?<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>When the nominations were first announced, I felt pretty good for Adams&#8217; chances. However, she hasn&#8217;t really been part of the conversation in recent weeks. Judging by buzz, the competition seems to be between Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock.<\/p>\n<p>Blanchett previously won a Supporting Actress Oscar, but not Best Actress.
