Movie poster fans, art lovers, and people who like things that are just plain awesome, take note. For this week’s contest, we’re offering you one of the coolest prizes we’ve ever<\/em> given away here \u2013 the new hardcover art book ‘Crazy4Cult: Cult Movie Art 2’. Is that skepticism I sense in you? How could a simple picture book possibly be that interesting? Trust me, you need to own this. Take a look at some of the samples to follow and I promise that you’ll want to display them in your home theater.

The new coffee table art book ‘Crazy4Cult: Cult Movie Art 2<\/a>‘ contains over 170 pages of beautiful, perverse, weird and often just plain stunning alternative movie poster designs from the artists at the famed Gallery 1988<\/a>. Here are just a few examples of the work showcased. Click on any of these to enlarge.<\/p>\n

See what I mean? That’s just a tiny fragment of the wonder to be found when you page through the book.<\/p>\n

So, how do you win? We’ll do this as a photo caption contest<\/strong>, since those seem to be popular with our readers. The cover of the book, as you can see at the end of this post, features poster art for Stanley Kubrick’s ‘The Shining’. What I want you to do is provide a funny or clever caption for this other random (and disturbing) image from ‘The Shining’. <\/p>\n

For example: “Mother always told me to grin and bear it.”<\/em><\/p>\n

We have one copy of the book to give away. The winner will be chosen at our own subjective discretion based on whichever responses we enjoy the most. Entries are limited to 10 per person<\/strong>. That should give you plenty of opportunity to craft a good submission, but will also help us to avoid any potential appearance of awarding prizes based on volume rather than quality. (Please heed this limit. You will be taken out of consideration if you submit more than 10 entries.) All entries must be submitted in the Comments section of this blog post. Please do not attempt to email them to me. <\/p>\n

This contest is only open to entrants from the domestic United States. We will not ship internationally (whether you’re a U.S. citizen or not). Employees of High-Def Digest or Internet Brands and their families are not eligible. Standard contest rules and conditions apply.<\/a> People who have won any of our previous contests within the past one year are also not eligible to win, but may get Honorable Mentions. <\/p>\n
