Sadly, they don&#8217;t look all that thrilling. Is that just the fault of bad trailers?<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h5>&#8216;Passion&#8217;<\/h5>\n<p>Because I like Brian De Palma and am a fan of erotic thrillers, especially when they&#8217;re creative and stylish, I&#8217;m naturally inclined to give this a chance. However, the preview for this remake of the 2010 French film &#8216;Love Crime&#8217; (which originally starred Kristin Scott Thomas) doesn&#8217;t generate much interest from me \u2013 at least, not enough to pay for it in theaters. It could just be me, but the characters played by Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace seem pretty generic. In the end, I&#8217;ll probably trust De Palma enough to watch it on Blu-ray.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xaSVR4pCKT4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5>&#8216;The Company You Keep&#8217;<\/h5>\n<p>Thrillers about investigative journalism often make great movies. Of course, they need to have a strong plot and a good director. Thankfully, Robert Redford has some experience with this sort of thing, and usually makes more great movies than not. (We&#8217;ll just pretend that &#8216;Lions for Lambs&#8217; was some drunken fluke.) I can&#8217;t really say that I care to see Shia LaBeouf in the lead, or that I believe him as a journalist. But I could be wrong, and he might actually pull it off.
