Jennifer Aniston plays his wife, a woman still trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Every year, she tries a new trade and, when that fails, she moves onto another one. When both of them unexpectedly lose their jobs, they can’t afford to their NYC studio apartment (aka, microloft). So they have to move to Altlanta to live with Rudd’s brother (Ken Marino) and work at a porta-potty office.

On the drive through Northern Georgia, they stop at Elysium, a strange Bed and Breakfast that sucks them into a world they never considered being a part of. The lifestyle of this carefree modern-day hippie commune wins Rudd over, but not Aniston. When they get to Atlanta the next day, Rudd can’t stand the 9-to-5 desk job with his douchebag brother, so he drags his wife back to Elysium for a trial run at hippie living.

When they return, the tables are turned. As Rudd watches Aniston break out of her shell and shift towards free-loving hippie life, he feels their marriage being threatened. Now, she wants to stay and he wants to go.

‘Wanderlust’ is chock full of non-stop laugh-out-loud moments. Co-stars Justin Theroux, Alan Alda, Malin Akerman, Ken Marino, Joe Lo Truglio, Kerri Kenney, Lauren Ambrose and Kathryn Hahn are as funny as always, but so are the rest of the unknown actors who co-star alongside them. Every unknown actor with a comedic role is just as funny as the known actors.

If you’re looking for something offbeat to see this weekend, ‘Wanderlust’ is a risk-free choice.

Rating:

From the director of ‘Role Models‘ comes another hilarious and unique collaboration with Paul Rudd. ‘Wanderlust’ isn’t going to be a huge comedy on the scale of ‘Bridesmaids‘ or ‘The Hangover‘, but it will definitely find a home amongst the great smaller lightweight comedies.

[743
1821,766,4732,4730,4731,489,936,4302
