Fortunately, VUDU also offers them for high-quality streaming.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The following titles enter the VUDU stream this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8216;The Anniversary at Shallow Creek&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;A Better Life&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Baaria&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Batman: Year One&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Bread Crumbs&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Cape Fear&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Chick Magnet&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Dawning&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Evidence of a Haunting&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Hellraiser: Revelations&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The Howling: Reborn&#8217; ()<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Killer Eye: Halloween Haunt&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The Last Circus&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Margin Call&#8217; (10\/21)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Monte Carlo&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The Names of Love&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Occupant&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;Page One: Inside the New York Times&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The Reunion&#8217; (10\/21)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The Robber&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;The Trap Door&#8217; (10\/18)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While I&#8217;ve heard mixed things about the Spanish cult film &#8216;<strong>The Last Circus<\/strong>&#8216;, its trailer sure is fabulously weird and visually striking. Seriously, look at this:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w8CSDDqSmnk&#038;feature=player_embedded<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;d risk a Blu-ray purchase, but a streaming rental might fill the bill nicely. <\/p>\n<p>After the failure of &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/bluray.highdefdigest.com\/1352\/goldencompass.html\">The Golden Compass<\/a>&#8216; and a bad experience making &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/bluray.highdefdigest.com\/2916\/twilight_newmoon.html\">The Twilight Saga: New Moon<\/a>&#8216;, director Chris Weitz swore that his next film (then titled &#8216;The Gardener&#8217;) would be his last. Weitz eventually backed off those claims, even though the immigrant drama (released under the new title &#8216;<strong>A Better Life<\/strong>&#8216;) received some middling reviews and failed at the box office. The trailer looks pretty mawkish, and I didn&#8217;t care much for &#8216;The Golden Compass&#8217; (and can&#8217;t bring myself to watch that &#8216;Twilight&#8217; mess), but I&#8217;m still inclined to give the director of &#8216;About a Boy&#8217; the benefit of the doubt\u2026 for a rental, at least. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mwIzW7yk3ZI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fans of DC Animation will want to take note of the latest DTV epic, &#8216;<strong>Batman: Year One<\/strong>&#8216;. Meanwhile, fans of crappy horror movies might enjoy laughing at the latest shitfest sequels in the &#8216;<strong>Hellraiser<\/strong>&#8216; and &#8216;<strong>Howling<\/strong>&#8216; franchises. <\/p>\n<p>Starting today, VUDU also offers &#8216;<strong>Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides<\/strong>&#8216; for purchase in either 2D or 3D formats, both with <strong>7.1 audio<\/strong> (a first for any streaming service). However, the movie will not be available for rental until November 15th.  <\/p>\n<p><em>All dates provided refer specifically to rental availability. Check VUDU for sell-through availability, if interested.
