One episode was all I needed of AMC’s vampire series NOS4A2<\/strong><\/em>, but the show was successful enough that the network has renewed it for a second season.<\/p>\nDescribed on the packaging as “The Complete First Season,” the Veronica Mars<\/strong><\/em> revival could also be considered the show’s fourth. The Warner Archive brings it to disc for fans who don’t subscribe to Hulu.<\/p>\nAlso coming out of the Warner Archive is the famed 1973 TV movie Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark<\/strong><\/em>. <\/p>\nMeanwhile, Kino has another scary TV movie with the 1996 Trilogy of Terror II<\/strong><\/em>, featuring the return of the evil Zuni fetish doll. <\/p>\nMy $.02<\/h2>\n
I’d be very inclined to buy the 007: Daniel Craig Collection<\/em>, except that it seems foolish to do so knowing that the collection is already incomplete right from its release. Also, I’m a little skeptical of what an HDR makeover might do to Spectre<\/em>, a film that was photographed in a deliberately low dynamic range style. <\/p>\nWhen We Were Kings<\/em> is hugely entertaining and will go on my Criterion wish list.
