Fri Jan 06, 2012 at 10:30 AM ETTags: Firaxis, X-Com (all tags)
The folks over at Firaxis are making the dream of many fans into a reality.
When the announcement went out that 'X-Com' was coming back, fans got excited - very excited. When it was announced that the new 'X-Com' game would be a brown and grey FPS, fans got, well, pissed.
Some great news just came down the pipe for hardcore 'X-Com' supporters. A new 'X-Com' game is in the works and it's going to be like the games you know and love. ' XCOM: Enemy Unknown' is a turn-by-turn strategy game that's being developed by Firaxis games - the people behind recent 'Civilization' titles.
"We were careful to keep XCOM: Enemy Unknown true to the elements that made X-COM such a revered game," said Firaxis president Steve Martin, "while delivering an entirely new story and gameplay experience for both diehard X-COM fans and newcomers to the franchise."
