Producer Katsuhiro Harada says that the characters are essential and shouldn't be charged for separately.

There were plenty of fans upset about the way DLC was handled in 'Street Fighter X Tekken' and as it turns out, 'Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada wasn't too excited about it either.

" I see the characters and their move sets as chess pieces--they are essential items necessary in the game," he says. " we would never sell any of those individually."

That doesn't mean there won't be DLC at all in 'Tekken X Street Fighter' or 'Tekken Tag Tournament ,' but you can expect it to be more aesthetic in nature – no essential game components.

And yes, everyone from the former 'Tales' team will be coming along.

When we heard about the 'Tales' team was being dissolved, we saw is as a bad sign for the franchise. As it turns out, this was the start of a bigger move for the studio as a whole.

Namco Bandai has long been both a publisher and developer of games, but now it seems that's too much to put under one roof. The company is splitting off its developers into a separate studio that's focusing purely on development.

The new group, called Namco Bandai Studio, will be formed April 2nd and will take care of projects like 'Tekken,' 'Soul Calibur,' and the 'Tales' franchise. Over 1,000 people will be employed at this new studio, including all of the staff from the former Namco Tales Studio.
