Peerless Releases the First Articulating Mount for the Samsung 9000
Tue Nov 09, 2010 at 10:00 AM ETTags: Mounts (all tags)
If you want to be able to move your fancy new TV away from the wall, it's the only option you've got.
The Samsung 9000 is an amazing set. There's just no getting around it – it's at the top of the line when it comes to LED LCDs. The 9000 line has a problem though. It can't be used with normal wall mounts.
"All of the Samsung electronics are located in a connection panel concealed beneath the stand," explains Peerless. "Standard mounts cannot fit over the panel housing, and the mounting kit provided by Samsung allows the display to be hung only in a fixed position."
Up until now, you were stuck if you wanted to do something different with your set. The new mount from Peerless changes that, and extends, tilts, and swivels to meet your needs.
You can pick up the SUAC9000 Ultra Slim Articulating Wall Mount, which fits both the 46 and 55 inch models, for $549.

Sanus Launches a Tilting Wall Mount for Small TVs
Tue Jun 08, 2010 at 02:00 PM ETTags: Mounts, Sanus (all tags)
The VST15 offers a tilt of up to 12 degrees.
The practical application of a tilting wall mount is a bit questionable admittedly. But if you're one of those folks with one television or computer monitor for all purposes, it might be nice to have the option. After all, it's nice to get out of the computer chair and do some lounging.
The VST15 is designed for televisions from 13 to 26 inches and supports a weight of up to 50 pounds. It uses VESA brackets that fit most televisions, and it puts your set just 1.8 inches away from the wall. And, of course, it tilts up to 12 degrees.
Installation is made easier thanks to a separate wall plate and TV bracket that simply slide together when installed. It's also got a safety locking mechanism that makes sure that TV stays up.
You can pick up the VST15 now at a price of $49.

CLO Introduces Inexpensive Motorized TV Mounts
Tue Jun 01, 2010 at 01:00 PM ETTags: Mounts (all tags)
Motorized WallWizard mounts from will range from $129 to $199.
Normal TV mounts can range from the totally reasonable to the unbelievably expensive. When you start adding in features like arms or a motor, things can get out of hand really quickly.
But CLO is taking a different approach with its new WallWizard brand of TV mounts, or at least approaching things from a different price point. Standard mounts from WallWizard will cost between $59 and $229. Motorized mounts will fall in the $129 to $199 range.
The ZA41 Swing Mount is one such product. It's got a low profile designed to look good with ultra-thin televisions, and a remote control for angle adjustments. It rotates up to 90 degrees in either direction, and can be programmed to remember your favorite settings.
It's also got an IR receiver, which can learn the control commands for your TV. That means when you turn your TV on, the ZA41 will pop out to where you want it, and when you turn your TV off, the mount swings back in.
WallWizard mounts will be available starting in June.
