If you haven't checked out The Bonus View today, well, what are you waiting for?!
In case you missed the announcement, High-Def Digest started a new HD Blog yesterday that lets us show you the world of HD from a few new angles. You can learn a bit more about our mission here. Just as importantly, Josh Zyber is giving away his old Blu-ray player. Find out how to win it here!
As for what's new today, well, so far we've covered 3-D, 'Glee' vs. 'V', some gizmo called the "iPad", the weekend box office, and some show called 'Lost' (which I think is produced by Rick Steves).
Oh, and you don't want to miss this bizarre movie with a young Don Johnson and his telepathic dog!
So there you have it, visit the blog, leave your comments, share your favorite stuff on Facebook and come back tomorrow for more.

New to High-Def Digest: HD DVD, Blu-ray Amazon Sales Ranks
Tue Sep 04, 2007 at 07:55 AM ETTags: High-Def Digest Announcements (all tags)
Combining forces with HDGameDb, High-Def Digest has rolled out its latest site feature: real-time Amazon sales ranks for HD DVD and Blu-ray discs.
Over the last year, Amazon's constantly-updated DVD sales ranks have become an increasingly popular topic of discussion among high-def disc early adopters. While the ranks represent Amazon sales only (and are not necessarily reflective of overall sales trends), they've come to serve as a real-time arbiter of each next-gen format's strength.
Now with the launch of High-Def Digest's Amazon Sales Ranks, it's never been easier to see each format's Amazon standings at any given time, day or night.
Real-time rankings can be viewed one of two ways: 1) as a chart that combines both formats in a single ranked list of top selling next-gen releases, or 2) as two side-by-side charts that list the top selling discs for each format separately.
Using the "Customized Graphs" feature, you can also compare historical sales trends, either in aggregate or by individual title.
Originally developed by Greg Omand for his HDGameDb web site using Amazon Web Services, Greg has agreed to make his charts available exclusively on High-Def Digest. Please join us in welcoming Greg to to the High-Def Digest team, and watch for new enhancements to this feature in the months ahead!

High Def Digest Goes Live in Podcast
Wed Sep 06, 2006 at 03:36 PM ETTags: High-Def Digest Announcements (all tags)
PodTech.net has posted a two-part audio podcast about the on-going
high-definition format war, including an interview with High Def Digest Editor-in-Chief
Peter Bracke.
Blu-ray vs. HD DVD: Part 1 features our editor (yours truly) discussing the technical aspects and merits of the Blu-ray and HD DVD formats with PodTech's Matt Kelly.
In Blu-ray vs. HD DVD: Part 2, you'll find our friend Bill Hunt, editor of the web's top DVD resource The Digital Bits discussing the Hollywood studio side of the format war, and what it may hold for the future.
Both interviews are worth a listen, so definitely check them out -- but be forewarned: the site is experiencing some heavy traffic today, so you may have to be a bit patient if you can't listen or download the podcasts right away.
