'Constantine' Headed to Blu-ray
Mon Jul 21, 2008 at 03:00 PM ETTags: Disc Announcements, Exclusive HD Content, Warner (all tags)
Warner has announced its latest "catch-up" title for Blu-ray, bringing the devilish thriller 'Constantine' to the format in time for Halloween.
Originally released on HD DVD back in June 2006 (read our review), 'Constantine' is one of a handful of high-profile Warner titles the studio never subsequently released on Blu-ray.
That will change on October 14, when the studio debuts the Keanu Reeves-Rachel Weisz hit on Blu-ray with all the same bonus features as the previous HD DVD.
The identical spate of extras will include a pair of audio commentaries (by director Francis Lawrence and producer Akiva Goldsman, and co-screenwriters Kevin Brodbin and Frank A. Cappello), over a dozen featurettes ("Channeling Constantine," "Conjuring Constantine," "Director's Confessional," "Collision with Evil," "Holy Relics," "Shotgun Shootout," "Hellscape," "Visualizing Vermin," "Warrior Wings," "Unholy Abduction," "Demon Face," "Constantine's Cosmology," "Foresight: The Power of Pre-Visualization," "A Writer's Vision"), deleted scenes, a music video and theatrical trailers.
Tech specs see a BD-50 dual-player presentation with 1080p/VC-1 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Warner has set a suggested $28.95 list price for the Blu-ray.
You'll find the latest specs for 'Constantine' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under October 14.
